I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's bout.

Ex two-time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
